This workshop is a part of the UNIC InterTeach – professional development programme for university teachers under the theme ‘Innovative Mobility’. In this workshop you will meet university educators of partner-universities of the UNIC-Alliance, who are based in: Belgium, Croatia, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey.
This workshop is hosted by trainers of the Community of Learning & Innovation from the Erasmus University, Rotterdam (NL).
Via Virtual Exchange students work together online on tasks and develop several skills such as cooperation and intercultural communication, in addition to professional knowledge. ALL students will get the opportunity for an international learning experience, and they will not be hindered by any mobility challenges.Next, it could also offer students interesting and new perspectives to the content of the course or study program.
The workshop will take place online and be held in English (lingua franca).
Attention: All UNIC courses are part of the extended module Lehren & Lernen. AEs awarded for participation in UNIC courses will be credited for Lehren & Lernen only.
After this workshop you will be able to...
Asynchronous Preparation: Before you can attend the workshop, you start your learning journey by diving into our online learning environment (Canvas) and prepare and upload assignments. This preparation takes about 3 hours. In the preparation you will be introduced to the concept of Virtual Exchange. You think about your own educational design and the opportunities you see to integrate VE.
Synchronous Workshop: The workshop session takes 4 hours. In this session you get to work with your own educational design, there is room to exchange ideas with the other participants and to share experiences with other teachers.
